Our evaluation includes, but is not limited to, existing competition, traffic patterns, sales generators such as gyms, site accessibility and demographics. We draw on many years of experience in the selection process and knowledge in lease negotiations to provide assistance for you and your lawyer.
Supplement King Inc provides the complete design for your kiosk style store at no additional cost to you. Full size stores can be designed a number of ways to suit the proposed site, we will guide you in making cost efficient lease hold improvements as well as purchases branded materials such as signage and shelving displays.
The tendering process and construction are your responsibility, although we will assist to coordinate the completion of these and our management team will work with you to coordinate the landlord, contractors and suppliers.
Supplement King Inc franchisees have exclusive access to the lowest national pricing structure through many yrs of industry relations and large buying power. As market trends differ throughout the country, Supplement King owner/operators have the right to customize their stock offerings to meet the needs of their customers. Our great relationship with wholesale partners allows you to purchase some products in relatively low volume and still take advantage of our substantial discount. This industry exclusive arrangement will help keep your cashflow healthy and allow your Supplement King to thrive.
The Supplement King brand is known throughout Atlantic Canada and moving into central Canada , resulting in substantial customer awareness. Supplement King Inc does not currently collect national advertising funds from any franchisees. We do lever our supplier connections to ensure that our customers know we carry the highest quality supplements at our unbeatable pricing. Cooperative promotions with the most well-known brands are a proven success for Supplement King.
At the local level, strategic sponsor partnerships as well as proven web tactics drive customers into your Supplement King store. We use a variety of "Guerilla tactics" to garner maximum attention for minimal cost.
1. How much does it cost to purchase a Supplement King?
The cost of purchasing a Supplement King will vary from project to project but generally, complete development, training, and pre-opening costs, will amount to approximately $35 000 to $70 000. The most affordable in the industry!
2. How much cash do I need?
Approximately $20 000 to $50,000 of unencumbered cash is required to open a Supplement King franchise.
3. Does Supplement King provide financial assistance?
Supplement King can provide assistance to you in securing financing. We have a relationship with Bank of Nova Scotia to provide financing to our Franchise operators. You are also free to arrange financing through one of many leading financial institutions.
4. What are the royalty fees?
Upon signing the franchise agreement, a one-time franchise fee of $5000-$20 000 is due. This is dependant on the population and size of the proposed franchise site.
You will also be invoiced directly for all your stock purchases through Supplement King Inc. at 5% above our cost. There is currently no monthly franchise fee.
5. Is there an advertising fee?
At this time we do not collect an advertising fee, although we reserve the right to do so. Currently all Supplement King Franchisees pay their individual advertising expenses.
6. What can I expect as a return on investment?
How much money a Supplement King franchisee makes will depend on market conditions and management control. It is essential to fully understand the profit potential of any business venture you are contemplating. Before you invest you should thoroughly investigate to determine what risks are involved and at what level of profitability you can reasonably expect from your business. The best way to determine this is by referring to the average store information that Supplement King supplies. We provide a list of our franchisees complete with names and phone numbers. 8. Do I have to operate the store or can I simply invest? What about a partner(s)?
For all independent Owner-Operator franchise locations Supplement King Inc. insists that one of the partners be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the store.
9. Is there a training program?
We will train yourself or your manager in all aspects of running a Supplement King store including customer service, hiring and training of staff, scheduling and cash/stock management. Our accountant department will review accounting procedures with you, and will advise you in selecting an accountant for your store.
10. What support is given for a new store opening?
A successful opening is a critical step in the development of a Supplement King franchise operation. In addition to providing training in all aspects of general management of a Supplement King store, we assist the franchisee and the management team with a "hands on" support team for approximately 2 days prior to the opening and approximately 3 days after the opening, until such time as the management and staff are fully in control of the operation.
11. What ongoing support is given to a franchisee?
The main function of the franchisor is to assist the franchise system. Supplement King offers full support in all areas of accounting, promotions planning, marketing and stock support.
12. Who selects the site?
Site selection is critical to the success of a Supplement King. Because of this importance, Supplement King Inc. insists on approving all sites. We do provide assistance in lease negotiations and site selection.

Once the information has been reviewed and it has been determined that the information meets the criteria necessary to become a Supplement King franchisee, we will be in contact. This contact, or perhaps a personal meeting also serves as an approval meeting. If the contact or personal meeting is successful, and should you choose to proceed, then a $2000 CA non-refundable deposit is required so that we may begin site selection and development. The balance of the opening franchise fee is due at contract signing.
